Made by creating monoramps in cmyk (3 lighter shades, 3 darker shades), then using layers of dithering to create the mixed colours. This palette is made to pick colours from and would not be used all at once. Where I found the reference: https://kleinletters.com/Blog/coloring-comics-old-school/

A blazing neon palette of pinks, greens, and blues for wild nights, hot beats, and pixel paradise vibes.

Lately I've been experimenting with SNES style palettes of 15-colors + transparency for my fantasy console. This is an attempt at designing a sort of "system palette," broadly inclusive of the full color spectrum. My strategy was to get as many color ramps as possible, covering each of the 6 primary and secondary colors, and gray. With black and white, each ramp other than gray has 4 entries. I tried to match colors for relatively even percieved brightness, but fudged it a bit where I thought it might help mixing between ramps.

F O O D S (and a drink, lol). My submission for a challenge in Pixel Art Indonesia FB group. Some of these are Indonesian food (martabak & jalangkote), and some more (corn dog, dates, iced tea) is worldwide known. Very nice palette I must say, it was a fun experiment. Hope you enjoy!! - by Nora Ko

A refined version of my "Z64" palette. I've spent more time on smooth ramping, swapped out a few colours to balance the spectrum, and done a bunch of tinkering with sprite creation to get this just right. A vibrant selection intended to cover all the needs of a retro game or art project. β₯
